Game Thread: Vikings vs. Texans Mini-Playoff Game 1A
It's playoff time! Well, it is for the Vikings when you need to pretty much win every game all the time from here on out to even have a chance.
And so that's what we're doing here on this glorious extended holiday weekend. Join another Purple Jesus Diaries Game Thread today, and bring on the extended family who is probably ruining your household this weekend, as we all watch the Vikings play the Texans with bated breath.
Can the Vikings sneak out a win when they need it most? Will the play this game with the playoff intensity that it deserves? Will Christian Ponder look better in his de facto playoff game here than Tarvaris Jackson did against the Eagles all those moons ago? Does anyone actually give a shit at this point, or is it all just about Adrian Peterson? That's what I thought.
So grab some egg nog, break out the new flannel pajamas, and warm your hands up in your crotch ladies, because it's game time! Let's get this win, please, for the Baby Jesus.

Okay team, white boy here just rediscovered Public Enemy and Anthrax "Bring the Noise" on YouTube. Don't even attempt to listen to it unless you have a good sound system. Anybody else got some old school YouTube ideas? When I'm juiced I always seem to throw on "99 problems". But that song makes no sense to me since it's "99 problems" and a bitch is 95 of them to me. That's not nice. I'm sorry. I mean 94. Football baby. Crown Royal baby. Everything's gonna be alright.

Wanna know what a good Sunday is boys (oh sorry Qomms) and girls? Is when your boy is done hockey till the new year, the Christmas shopping is done, and the girlfriend is out, with the boy, buying your last gift, leaving you alone to slam some Crown Royal and enjoy the Vikings kicking the piss out of the brokeback Texans. I think I'll pour myself another double Crown. Are we heading for the playoffs? "PLAYOFFS?" Good golly. I love me some Crown Royal.

The Vikes won the game and yet I'm kinda pissed that AP didn't get his 100 yards! Was he hurt the last 5 minutes? When Houston pulled Watts why were we running Gerhardt? Christ, if Gerhardt can rip off a 5-6 yard run then we all know AP would've had 25-30 yards (I'm being dead serious when I say this)! Maybe marriage is good for Ponder, I'm still not convinced, but nice to see a good game outta him. I really like Walsh and Harrison Smith!
The run is getting stopped, and the pass has been effective. This is bullshit. I don't trust Houston or the Vikings for them to get enough of a lead to be able to run the ball the rest of the game.
